Wireless Communications Alliance (WCA)
Founded in 1993, the WCA is a Silicon Valley-based, nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing a resource for Education, Connection, and Community for Northern California companies, individuals, and organizations involved in wireless communication technologies.
The goals of the WCA are to promote education, networking, and exchange of non-proprietary information; increase awareness of Northern California's vast wireless capabilities; and assist a broad spectrum of companies, including start- ups.
The WCA organizes networking events with presentations and panels on a wide spectrum of topics including the technical and marketing aspects of wireless products and services, regulatory issues, wireless standards and investor-driven wireless market analysis.

WLSec is a .vantronix project to provide a free next generation Wireless LAN security framework. At the moment there are a lot of different approaches and standards from several companies and comitees trying to fix the current Wireless LAN security desaster. We want to use the best and most secure ideas to create a new Open Source implementation.

We use license exempt Wireless technology such as 802.11/WiFi, as well as Amateur Radio Technologies. The Society also operates and develops information services to connect people in Communities together and make daily life more interesting.
